ISS-HK was privileged to have Ms Elsie Leung, Deputy Director of HKSAR Basic Law Committee of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress, speak in the 2015 Annual General Meeting at Auditorium of Duke of Windsor Social Service Building on 2 December 2015.

Ms Elsie Leuing recognized the efforts that ISS-HK has been making in “building bridges between nations and people, irrespective of their races, religions, cultures and origins”.

“ISS Hong Kong is unique in its ability to work closely with other branches and affiliates of ISS around the world to provide inter-country social work assistance and cross border services to children, elderly and families in need in Hong Kong, mainland China and cross countries,” she said.

Ms Bernardita L. Catalla, Consul General of the Philippines as well as representatives from Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. and various government departments attended the meeting.

The Annual General Meeting was chaired by Mr. C. P. Ho, Chairman of ISS-HK. The resolutions to consider and adopt the accounts and annual report 2014/15 were passed. All existing members of the Advisory Committee were re-elected in the meeting.
