Former Hong Kong Chief Executive of HKSAR, Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, GBM, GBS, JP, visited our Feng Yuen Street Community Service Centre(“Feng Yuen Street Centre”) in the Liwan District of Guangzhou on 13 October 2023. She was warmly received by our colleagues and the staff of the Feng Yuen Street Centre.

During the visit, Mrs. Carrie Lam attentively listened to the history of collaboration between ISSHK and Feng Yuen Street Centre which led to the provisioning of social Services in the area 25 years ago, and its contribution to nurturing local professionals. she also gained an understanding of the various services provided by the Centre, including a self-care workshop with a focus on family-oriented activities, as well as facilitation skills of group games for social workers in Greater Bay Area. Mrs. Lam engaged in interactive conversations with fellow colleagues, fostering a harmonious atmosphere.

To conclude the visit, our Chief Executive, Mr. Stephen Yau, presented Mrs. Carrie Lam with a souvenir, expressing the hope for further communication and continued efforts to enhance services for women, children, and families in need within Guangdong Province.
