Service Unit
D.R.E.A.M. Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities (funded by Home Affairs Department)
Duties
  • Responsible for the overall Centre management, leadership and direction for the Support Service Centre, and the Ethnic Minority Care Team according to the project funder's aims, output and other requirements of the project.
  • Provide service planning and strategizing, budget monitoring, implementation and evaluation of all the programmes and support services of the Centre.
  • Responsible for the service development to expand the scope of and enhance the service. 
  • Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services and generate the performance outcomes expected of the project.
  • Provide supervision and performance management to all Centre staff.
  • Review casework and counselling progress of the service users, and review the membership and the needs of service users of the Centre and implement appropriate support.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, statistics, proposals as required.
  • Develop the network of partners with local and international organizations, government departments and other related organizations serving ethnic minorities.
  • Represent the programme in meetings, conferences and other activities as appropriate and/or assigned.
Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience; medical insurance; MPF and 15 days annual leave on the first year of service.

Requirements
  • Registered Social Worker in Hong Kong with a recognized degree in Social Work from a Hong Kong University or above. 
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in a supervisory capacity. 
  • Solid experience in developing and monitoring centre operations and programmes implementation.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ability to develop programme management plans, achieves performance results, and monitor and evaluate staff and programmes.
  • Proven ability to network with other agencies and generate resources for the programmes.
  • Good command of oral and written English; fluency in at least one ethnic minority language and/or ability to communicate in Chinese is a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate positive and self-motivated attitude, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural team and work environment. 
  • Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Flexibility to work at irregular hours, weekends and holidays. Shift duty is required.
