H.O.P.E. Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities - Interpretation and Translation Services for Ethnic MinoritiesDuties
- Develop service plan to deliver the interpretation and translation service for ethnic minorities.
- Generate ideas and action plans to enhance the service delivery.
- Recruit, supervise and train the centre’s seniors, interpreters / translators and language ambassadors / interns.
- Provide supervision and training for language ambassadors / interns.
- Prepare orientation for the new hires and conduct training regularly to enhance service quality.
Salary & Benefits
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience; medical insurance; MPF and 15 days annual leave on the first year of service.
Requirements
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree or above, major in translation.
- Preferably to have 2-3 years’ direct work experience in the translation field.
- Relevant work experience in supervising a team of interpreters / translators is preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership, management and organizational skills.
- Good command of oral and written English.
- Demonstrate a positive and self-motivated attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
- Able to work in a multicultural team and in a work environment.
- Proficient in computer skills and MS Office.
