DREAM Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities officially opens

The second Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities operated by ISS-HK has officially opened! Located in Kowloon City, the DREAM Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities (DREAM Centre) celebrated its Grand Open Ceremony on 3 December. The event was officiated by Mr Chan Kwok-ki, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Miss Alice Mak, the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Ms Shirley Lam, Permanent Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mr Clarence Leung, Undersecretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mrs Alice Cheung, Director of Home Affairs Department.
 
They were joined by Mr Kenneth Kwok, Chairman of Advisory Committee of ISS-HK, Mr Stephen Yau, the Chief Executive of ISS-HK, Dr Rizwan Ullah, Kowloon City District Council Member and Ms Aruna Gurung, Yau Tsim Mong District Council Member to officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony. In addition to a traditional Chinese lion dance, the occasion featured cultural dances from India and Thailand, showcasing vibrant cultural diversity. Representatives from various ethnic minority groups were invited to witness this meaningful milestone in ethnic minority services.
 
DREAM Centre provides a wide range of support services for ethnic minorities, including classes, integration activities, as well as counselling and referral services. In addition, an Ethnic Minority Care Team was set up by the Centre to reach out to ethnic minorities in the region.
