Service Provider: Part-time Tutor for Cantonese Class for Ethnic Minorities (on self-employed basis)

H.O.P.E. Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities
Duties
  • Plan and design teaching materials tailored to the language levels (Basic/Intermediate/Advanced) of ethnic minority residents (aged 16 or above) in accordance with the approved curriculum needs
  • Assist with class administrative duties (e.g. taking attendance, taking feedback)
  • Flexible schedules on weekdays or weekends
  • Immediate availability is preferred
  • Service Location: H.O.P.E. Centre / Wanchai Head Office / Sham Shui Po Centre 
Salary & Benefits
  • Service Fee: HKD260 per hour (on hourly rate and self-employed service contract terms)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chinese or relevant study; relevant qualification in teaching is preferred
  • Relevant experience in teaching Cantonese in school or language centre to adults is an advantage
  • Fluency in Cantonese; good command of oral and written English and Chinese
  • Able to read and write in Traditional Chinese
  • Understands the community resources in Hong Kong and needs of ethnic minorities
  • Successful applicants will have to apply for Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) at their own expense
