The ISS-HK Vice Chairman Kenneth Chung elected as a member to the ISS Governing Board

In the ISS International Council meeting held in May 2018 in Malta, Kenneth Chung, Vice Chairman of ISS Hong Kong, was elected as a member to the ISS Governing Board with leadership role for the ISS’s global operation.

Acting as the General Assembly of ISS, the ISS International Council meets once every 2 years and in the 2018 meeting in Malta, the ISS Statutes require the holding of elections for the Governing Board which happens every 4 years. Accountable to the International Council, the Governing Board governs ISS between the meetings of the International Council.

Also in the 2018 ISS International Council meeting in Malta, the other members elected to the ISS Governing Board include Susan Jacobs of ISS USA and Alfred Grixti of ISS Malta. These newly elected members joined current members of the ISS Governing Board who are Marise Dunlop-Stewart Haefner and Natasha Tavoletta in their roles as Independent Members, as well as Howard Nadler of ISS Canada. Ursula Roelke of ISS Germany joined the ISS Governing Board as the newly elected Chair of the Professional Advisory Committee (Note 1).

Mr Kenneth Chung was inducted into the ISS Hong Kong Advisory Committee in 1995 as Hon. Treasurer and was elected to be its Vice Chairman in 2015 which he serves until the present. Mr Chung is by profession a Certified Public Accountant and for almost 30 years in his professional life and career he was actively involved in audit, listing and financial consultancy and investigation services. Apart from his service with ISS, he is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sands China Limited and a Trustee at Fu Tak Iam Foundation Limited.
